Dinobot was second in command of the Predacons until he was exiled by Beast Wars Megatron after Dinobot had challenged his leadership position.
After that he joined the Maximals to get revenge on Megatron but he is slowly starting to learn their ways. Dinobot follows a code of honor. He will never attack an opponent who is weaker than himself. Unfortunatly he prone to angry outburst but they are short lived.
Dinobot's honor has nothing to do with his alligence. He can easily switch sides making him an unpredictable turncoat.
